We've been putting Trix (our new pup), out in the yard with Scruff. Scruff's a pretty big dog. And a very patient, passive, calm dog. Trix can walk under Scruff and not even touch his belly. But she will harass him all afternoon.

Her favorite pastime is grabbing a mouthful of his tail. Then Scruff will start chasing his tail, trying to get her off. She'll swing around, with all her her feet are off the ground. He'll finally fling her off, then she'll go after it again. And they run, it's fun to watch. She'll chase him, then he'll chase her. They really get along well, and by the time we go out to get her, Trix is wore out, and Scruff looks relieved.

Sheryl always gives Scruff a big treat, that's his babysitting money.

Whenever we go for a walk, Bailey likes to go and see the horses next door. Typically he will sit and touch noses with Mary but today he was more interested in eating the weeds.

There have been 6 more additions to our "kennel"....no...not more dogs! Three baby birds in a nest over the garage. And three harlequin welsh mix ducks...one male and two female. I didn't get very good pictures of them because Bailey was chasing them through the pond. Imagine.....a dog that would not get his paws wet when he first got here, jumps in the pond now.

Well, the three ducks we had are now down to one. I think the local wild life got the other two. Miss Quackers must have been lonely because she came up from the pond to visit. If she continues to do that, the mastiff next door will make a snack out of her. She was following Marisa around the yard so I had her walk her back down to the pond. Hopefully she will stay there.
